Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer, Administrator

Since joining Infirmary Health in 1990, Alan Whaley has held a number of management roles, including vice president of clinic operations for Infirmary Medical Clinics and later administrator of Mobile Infirmary. He presently serves as Infirmary West’s administrator.

Whaley has a bachelor's degree in business administration and information systems from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Ky., as well as master’s degrees in business administration and health care administration from Cincinnati’s Xavier University. A native of Louisville, Ky., he previously worked for Baptist Healthcare System in Louisville and Birmingham.

Whaley is involved in several community organizations, including being on the board of directors for the Mobile Area Boy Scouts and a past member of the Mobile/Washington Board of Mental Health.
