Emergency Services
Infirmary West has a newly renovated emergency department. The expansion has more than doubled the size of the former emergency department – expanding it from 4,600 square feet to over 10,650 square feet. The new facility contains a total of 22 beds – doubling the former care capacity. It provides fully-monitored beds and specially equipped rooms to care for cardiac, obstetrics, pediatrics, trauma, and critical care patients.
The new addition is designed to raise the quality of patient care by improving patient flow through the emergency department, making it more effective and efficient. By increasing in size and improving efficiency Infirmary West is able to meet the demand for emergency department visits in the community. This renovation is just another example of Infirmary West’s commitment to making our healthcare facility the preferred place for patients in the West Mobile area.
