Patients and visitors

 

Overview

General visiting hours are from 8 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Visits from friends and relatives should be limited to 20 minutes. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Information about visiting hours in the intensive care units and other specialty areas is available at the nurses’ stations.

Dining

The cafeteria is located on the first floor of the East Tower of the hospital and is open from from 7 to 9:30 a.m. for breakfast and 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for lunch. Vending machines are located in the cafeteria and are accessible 24 hours a day for visitor convenience.

Gift Shop

The Gift Shop, located in the East Tower of the hospital, carries an extensive selection of flowers, balloons, stuffed animals, cards, jewelry and other gift items. Hospital room delivery is available upon request by calling 251-660-5828. Gifts cannot be delivered to intensive care units. Proceeds from the Gift Shop, operated by the Infirmary West Auxiliary, are used to fund hospital projects.

Gift Shop hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Pastoral service

Our chapel, located on the first floor, is open at all times for meditation and worship. The hospital provides clergy with a list of their members who are hospitalized. If you want a chaplain to visit you in the hospital, please notify the nursing staff or dial "0".
